BluBluBlues Man

I had the occasion, once upon a time, to meet a progenitor of a prolific and venerable American art form, the Blues. I must admit, for a long time, I never really felt a great affinity for the music but, as time passed my disaffection actually turned into a growing respect and caring for it. You might even say, hmmm, love? Yuk! I hate saying corny stuff like that but, yet again... The truth unfolds. I never really liked the Blues. I always felt it, a depressing and melancholy address to the amalgamation of sad particles in a doomed personal union. To me, it was the dissolution of deep seeded, heartfelt emotions once embraced between two black folk. The terrible reality; they were already living under less than eidetic, ideal circumstances. Carl Rogel epitomizes the caption, "American Blues Singer". Perhaps the next song I write will be, "Lay Your Weary Head To Peace". Who knows?
